🌱 Forging a Sustainable Future: NGOF Joins Biodiversity Workshop in Kampot! 🌍
On December 5-6, 2024, in the scenic province of Kampot, Mr. CHAN Vicheth proudly represented the NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOF) at a Validation Workshop on Cambodia’s Biodiversity Targets and Indicators. Organized by the Ministry of Environment (MoE), the event brought together over 70 participants, including CSO representatives, MoE officials, and local community leaders.
The workshop marked a significant step in aligning Cambodia’s National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plan (NBSAP) with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, aiming to secure a future where humans and nature coexist in harmony.
🌟 What Was Achieved?
Participants collaboratively reviewed and validated 23 national targets and indicators (2024–2030), ensuring they reflect Cambodia’s priorities while fostering harmony between people, prosperity, and the planet.
✨ Why It Matters
This initiative directly supports the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy, while complementing NGOF's METRI Strategic Plan (2024–2030), focused on building a transformative, resilient, and inclusive society through Multi-Stakeholder Engagement and the 3Ps principle:
🌍 People
💰 Prosperity
🌱 Planet
Together, we’re shaping a sustainable and inclusive future for Cambodia and our planet. Stay tuned for updates on how these targets come to life! 🌿
