Phnom Penh, September 7, 2015: The NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOF) team, led by Dr. Tek Vannara, NGOF’s Executive Director, attended a meeting with H.E Mong Reththy, the founder of Mong Reththy Group (MRG), at MRG Company. The goal of the meeting was to discuss on the collaboration opportunity for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to invite H.E Mong Reththy to be a president of the 9th National Advocacy Conference.
There were several positive results after the meeting including:
- H.E Mong Reththy agreed to host a two-day exposure visit, which is scheduled for October 3 and 4, for the Corporate Social Responsibility to respect the human rights at Mong Reththy Group, situated in Keo Posh, Sihanouk Vile Province
- He also assented to be an honor for the 9th National Advocacy Conference, which is going to take place on November 3, 2015
- He will consider the appointment of a representative to attend CSR meeting on 21 October and NGOF given Terms of Reference for more details and high consideration.
“This is a great start for CSOs’ work in the CSR area. I positively believe that the up-coming trip will be a productive and fruitful one for all the participants to learn and get the best experience and practice from the MRG” said Dr. Tek Vannara, NGOF’s Executive Director, after the meeting.
