Consultancy Advertisement: Assessing Low Water Flow’s Impact on the Mekong Riverine and Tonle Sap Lake Communities

In 2019, lower Mekong riparian countries including Cambodia suffered severe drought during the monsoon season. The water level in the Mekong River fell below their historical long-term minimum levels . When the monsoon season ended in the mid of October 2020, the drought extended to a flash flood. The Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) confirmed that the drought in 2020 was the worst in comparison to the drought in 2019.
