Phnom Penh, 05 June 2016: There are 8 representative from NGOs networks, Ministry of Environment, Development Partners, Students and Community in rural area of Cambodia to participate the celebration 44th Anniversary of World Environment Day, Theme: “Forest and River are Lives” at Hal of American Intercon School.
This event aim to share good experience, knowledge and concern issues on the impact of environment that affected from deforestation and hydro development project, and the congratulation to Mr. Ouch Leng, forest activist who get the award of world environmental protection in 2016.
All concepts, experience and research studies of the speakers: Dr. Tek Vannara, Executive Director of The NGO Forum on Cambodia, Mr. Seng Sokheng, CPN, Mrs. Phon Sophea, Prey Lang Youth Activist, Mr. Hem Audom, Independent Researcher and Miss. Kin Samnang, Deputy Chief Office of Education System of Ministry of Environment are reflected to the current situation of Environment issues that would request for our Cambodian people, especially youths who actively participate in any activities to protect our environment (forest and rivers), in order for sustainable used of those resources in future generation.
